I chose a ballet studio in Washougal for my daughters’ lessons just so I could enjoy driving along the Columbia River. Washougal is the gateway to The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area and is rural and rugged in contrast to the city in which I live. I feel transformed each time I drive out there!
This painting began as a photo I took last fall. The trees stood bare with dry grass beneath, but in my mind their gifts of glorious, golden and tangerine leaves remained in piles.
This art was created on 11″ x 14″ archival, cold pressed watercolor paper and comes matted making the overall size 16″ x 20.” It is protected by an acid free, clear storage sleeve.
